Democracy, Non Violence and Peace
Promote a Culture of Tolerance, Non Violence and Peace.
(1) This Principle for me is an effort to regain that which has become a thing of the past. Respect for another human being, another person's beliefs, Culture and above all respect for this earth we are so privileged to share. An attempt to curb the violence in our world, where our ability to sit and negotiate amicable solutions to attain peaceful resolution of our differences seems an impossible feet. In our human state, not willing to let go of power for those who have it and the rest who are willing to do anything to get it, the lost and total disregard of the sanctity and dignity of human existence is lost.
(2) I chose this principle because its one i am very passionate about and the lack of concern for fellow human life should be of great concern to us all.
(3) Middle East Non Violence and Democracy (MEND)
Promotes active Non violence and encourages alternatives to violence among youths and adults. They do this by employing innovative methods especially through the media and is widely respected for working with authenticity, professionalism and courage.
The Palestinian Center for study of Non-Violence (PCSN)
[quote]Supports the Palestinian community in facing and addressing the political, social and physical hardships currently confronting them. PSCN works to develop non violent approaches to resisting the Israel occupation and using non violence to aid in the building of social infrastructure.
I try my best to lead a life that foster peace within my community and the youth groups i am a part of by looking at problem solving among ourselves so that when a problem arise we confront it rather than ignore it and allow it to engulf us.
